The NES Godzilla Creepypasta is a horror story created by sprite artist Cosbydaf (who also wrote Normal Porn for Normal People). He first submitted it to Bogleech on April 23, where it lasted until December 4, 2011. It can currently be found, along with it's sequel, on All One Works and the Creepypasta wiki.

Summary[]

The story follows a man named Zach who gets his hands on a cartridge of the 1988 game Godzilla: Monster of Monsters for the NES.

After starting up the game for the first time, the nostalgia floods on him like a tsunami. But that excitement wore off rather quickly as the game is basically a badly developed mess. But that soon ended when he battled Gezora for the first time.

When the cuttlefish kaiju backs him in a corner, the game glitches up, as the battle timer did not stop it from keeping Godzilla trapped (which in turn, continued for over 5 minutes). This forces Zach to take off the cartridge, blow it, and start over.

He then defeated Gezora and Moguera easily soon after reaching them. But he soon noticed something was wrong after reaching Mars.

Varan has been replaced by Titanosaurus, a monster who was not in the original game. Thinking he was playing some sort of prototype, he got excited and battled his way up to a rematch with Gezora, to which it ended in a very glitchy note. He now knew something was wrong with the game, but foolishly set those feelings aside for Moguera, whom it had grown to twice its original size.

Once he defeated it, Moguera's sprite shattered into pieces.

He was now worried the same glitch would happen to Titanosaurus, but to his relief, the fight went well.

However, starting from the next world and on...he's about to be stalked by something within the game. Something...that will leave him traumatized for the rest of his life.
